Painting with a Twist

Painting with a Twist started from humble beginnings in 2007 when two enterprising women - Cathy Deano and Renee Maloney - started doing their part to rebuild their Hurricane Katrina-devastated community. They wanted to create an escape for people to come together and have a little fun amidst the chaos - and that's precisely what they did!

From hosting the very first event in Cathy's "barn" to now hosting events in 300 franchise locations across the nation, Cathy & Renee's small business they originally called “Corks & Canvas” has become an entire industry, the paint & sip industry.

Our mission at Painting with a Twist is simple: To provide a care-free escape while making a difference in people's lives.

Cathy & Renee knew from the very beginning that their events were more about the “experience” than an art class. Yes, you will create art in our studios… but we're so much more than that.

We're your home away from home, your place to recharge with friends, to rekindle romance, to laugh and let loose in a comfortable, inviting space. People from all over come to our studios each week, not because of our art, but because of how we make them feel. There's no greater feeling than knowing the positive impact we have on people's lives.

Our founders met doing charity work in their local community and they've instilled those values in every Painting with a Twist location through our Painting with a Purpose program. Each month, our studios host a painting event to raise funds for a local or regional non-profit organization. To date, we've donated nearly 7 million dollars to non-profit organizations across the nation such as Habitat for Humanity, Multiple Sclerosis and the Vera Bradley Foundation for Breast Cancer.
